March is just flying by for me! We had a great OPEN HOUSE last week with 2 interested families and several more have requested more information. It was great to have Father John Paul helping out in Science and playing with the kids. Making flashlights, playing with clay, and building with blocks made the day so much fun! We missed Ms. Lindsay and Peter, but hope to see them and our newest CSH member soon! Amy and I also really enjoyed the homeschooling conference in Fort Worth last weekend. So much is happening!
Week 21: In Science, we continue our study of electricity and will see if we can use potatoes to complete a circuit! In Art, it’s more clay time and the grammar students are making parts of a circus as we study Alexander Calder for the last week. In our timeline, we study Mt. St. Helens, Ronald Reagan, Mother Angelica, World Wide Web, and September 11, 2001. Our History song is also about our conflict with the Middle East. In Geography, we are looking at Southwest and Pacific Features. My girls love the religion song this week as we learn “The Magnificat”. Math is all about feet and miles. Prefixes and suffixes are the topics in Language Arts. In Latin, we are continuing on with the “Our Father”. The kids will also be choosing their famous American to portray for the semester showcase this week.
ArtBreak: If you have some of the CSH artwork from this year, please bring them to Amy.
