Week 23

April 15, 2018 | Posted by Mary Catherine Aranda

What a great week!  It was so much fun to have Tommy and Heidi back.  We also had 2 more families interested in joining our group next year!  The civil war school day was fun and it was great to have Leo and Hartley join us.  We can’t wait to see Jessica, Aubreyann and new little baby Emma.  Our little CSH family just keeps growing!

Week 23:  In history and geography, we continue our study of Louisiana.  This week we’ll look at significant events and people prior to 1900.  Fortunately for us, another Louisiana CSH chapter has designed the Louisiana cards on basecamp.  I suggest that you just use cardstock and print out all of the cards except for the ones about the diocese.  The diocese cards need to be changed to the Diocese of Shreveport.  In Religion, we are continuing the Magnificat as well as our state saint, Our Lady of Prompt Succor.

In Latin, we finish up the “Our Father”.  In Language Arts, we are learning about a basic paragraph.  We are making an electromagnet in Science.  How cool is that?!?  Here’s a cool video on an electromagnet.  In Art, we will finish up our state books in the style of Eric Carle.  Lastly, math is about pounds and tons!
